Police Arguing

Early Thursday morning, what began as a routine shift at Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital quickly spiraled into a frightening emergency. The hospital, located about 24 miles north of Detroit in the city of Troy, Michigan, was suddenly placed under lockdown after reports of an active shooter surfaced shortly after 7 a.m.

The alarming situation triggered an immediate and coordinated response from local law enforcement agencies. Police rushed to the scene while hospital staff and patients were instructed to shelter in place. Inside the large medical complex, employees reportedly barricaded themselves in offices, treatment rooms, and supply areas as authorities worked to secure the campus.

According to officials, the shooting resulted in one person being injured. The victim, a 25-year-old man, was shot twice in the arm. Despite the frightening circumstances, medical staff were able to quickly provide treatment, and the injured man was later reported to be in stable condition.
