Brandon Blackstock, Kelly Clarkson’s ex-husband and the former stepson of country music legend Reba McEntire, has died at the age of 48.

Tributes from fans and fellow celebrities have been pouring in following the news of his passing.

In a video posted to TikTok, Perez Hilton broke down into tears as he shared that his ‘heart breaks for Kelly Clarkson’s children’ over the news.

“Losing anyone you once loved is hard. May he rest in peace and his family find comfort,” one fan wrote.

Another fan writes: “I’m sorry this happened. RIP Brandon Blackstock. I hope Kelly Clarkson and her family can recover from this loss on their own time.”

The news comes shortly after Clarkson announced she was postponing the remaining dates of her August Las Vegas residency.

On August 6, the singer and TV host revealed that Blackstock had been ill, breaking her usual privacy to share the personal news.

“Unfortunately, I need to postpone the remainder of the August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas,” theAmerican Idol star wrote on Instagram.

“While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children’s father has been ill, and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them.
