During his concert, the country music legend paused his set to recognize Sgt. Derek Austin, a Purple Heart recipient who was severely injured while serving in Afghanistan.

🎁 In partnership with the Military Warriors Support Foundation, George Strait presented Sgt. Austin with a mortgage-free home — the 124th home gifted through their 14-year collaboration supporting wounded veterans and Gold Star families.

The crowd rose to their feet, applauding with gratitude as Austin received his keys — a powerful moment of appreciation and respect.
