Regretting Letting My Date Pay the Bill – ORIGINAL TASTE

Regretting Letting My Date Pay the Bill

On our first date, Eric’s gentlemanly charm was undeniable. He arrived with a bouquet of florist-quality roses, a thoughtful gift, and engaging conversation.

Set up by my best friend Mia, who knew Eric through her boyfriend Chris, I reluctantly agreed. Eric was attentive and kind, making a great first impression with his manners and attention to detail. The evening went smoothly, with shared interests and enjoyable conversation.

When the bill arrived, Eric firmly insisted on paying, stating, “A man always pays on the first date.” At the time, it seemed like a sweet gesture, but I would come to regret letting him take control.
