Now, an ABC statement to People explains why Strahan has been missing.

“Michael Strahan will not be with us this week as he is dealing with some personal family matters.”

While the message did not go into detail regarding the family situation,it did end, “We appreciate everyone’s thoughts and concerns.”

Michael has also been dealing with “a personal family matter,” according to Fox Sports, and his college Curt Menefee revealed why the retired NFL star was not present on their broadcast either.
