Singer Connie Francis passed away at age 87. The singer was popular throughout her life, with her song ‘Pretty Little Baby’ from 1962 gaining virality in recent months which propelled her back into the spotlight once again.
Connie Fancis’ death was reported by her friend, Ron Roberts. He posted the news on Facebook, writing, “It is with a heavy heart and extreme sadness that i inform you of the passing of my dear friend Connie Francis last night,” he wrote on Facebook.
“I know that Connie would approve that her fans are among the first to learn of this sad news,” he wrote in the post.
Francis first revealed her song ‘Pretty Little Baby’ in 1962 and it went viral recently almost 60 years on TikTok, over 60 years after it was first released!
The song has gained a massive amount of popularity recently, bringing Francis back to the forefront.
The song was used in various videos on several platforms, with influencers and celebrities using it for their videos.
In one of the singer’s last posts to social media, Connie Francis revealed how happy she was about all her new fans who found her because of her song ‘Pretty Little Baby.’
She wrote that she was “thrilled and overwhelmed” at her song gaining so much popularity all of a sudden.
She posted on Facebook, saying a thanks to some big personalities who used her song and helped propelled it to popularity, “Hi Everyone – I’m still astounded by the popularity of “Pretty Little Baby”.
