The First Lady debuted a striking new hairstyle, complete with soft blonde highlights, at a recent congressional picnic on the White House South Lawn. The fresh look drew attention away from her husband, President Donald Trump, and put the spotlight squarely on her.

While the event was billed as a celebration of Trump’s “Big, Beautiful Bill,” it quickly turned into a tribute to Melania’s legislative impact. The president praised her work on the “Take It Down Act” which is a bipartisan law signed on May 19. The law targets the spread of non-consensual sexual images, including AI-generated content.
“I want to thank you, Melania,” Trump said with a smile.
“When I saw that bill pass, bipartisan, I said, ‘You know, I think you’re gonna take my job, Melania.’”
The First Lady has been a strong advocate for protecting children and young adults from the darker sides of technology.
