A heartbreaking video has gone viral showing 18-year-old cheerleader Kimber Mills<\/strong> being wheeled through the halls of the University of Alabama Hospital for her final \u201chonor walk\u201d before becoming an organ donor. Kimber, a senior at Cleveland High School, was one of four victims in a shooting near Palmerdale on October 18.<\/p>\n Known for her school spirit and dreams of becoming a nurse, Kimber was taken off life support on Tuesday after suffering fatal injuries. Her vibrant personality and kindness made her beloved by classmates, teachers, and friends.<\/p>\n According to investigators, 27-year-old Steven Tyler Whitehead<\/strong> arrived at the party, got into a fight, and opened fire. He has been charged with three counts of attempted murder and is being held on a $180,000 bond.<\/p>\n Kimber\u2019s sister, Ashley Mills<\/strong>, said her younger sibling was \u201ccaught in the crossfire\u201d after Whitehead began harassing one of her friends. \u201cShe was just in the wrong place at the wrong time,\u201d Ashley said, her voice breaking.<\/p>\n Despite their grief, the Mills family chose to honor Kimber\u2019s wish to donate her organs. \u201cShe had too much trauma to her brain,\u201d Ashley explained. \u201cWe didn\u2019t want her to suffer anymore. Organ donation was what she wanted.\u201d<\/p>\n During her final walk, hospital staff, students, and community members lined the hallways, many holding hands or wiping away tears as Kimber was taken to surgery. The emotional moment was shared widely online, touching hearts across the country.<\/p>\n Her heart was donated to a seven-year-old boy in Ohio, and her lungs to a woman in New York.
