In that moment, grief was no longer a bottomless pit \u2014 it became a tender farewell sung into the wind."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We\u2019ve got you mum: Emotional moment Jack and Kelly Osbourne cling on to mother Sharon as she almost collapses in grief while viewing floral tributes for Ozz<\/p>\n<p>A frail Sharon Osbourne appeared to stumble as she walked to inspect a sea of tributes left for her late hellraiser husband \u2013 but reality TV\u2018s most famous matriarch had her family at her side to catch her.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The 72-year-old was overcome with grief as she stepped out of a van to add her own flowers to the thousands of tributes left to heavy metal legend Ozzy Osbourne in Birmingham city centre earlier today.<\/p>\n<p>Accompanied by children Kelly, Jack and Aimee \u2013 as well as Louis, from Ozzy\u2019s first marriage \u2013 she broke down in tears as she emerged to the cheers of thousands before beginning the walk to the tributes left by the side of the road.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Clutching a tissue and a bouquet of flowers wrapped in a black sheet, she stumbled a little, as Jack checked on her, he and Kelly holding her by the arm and hand.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>She then laid her flower as fans called her name and shouted: \u2018We love you.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Ozzy\u2019s children laid their own tributes before escorting their mother back to the car.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Clasping her hands to her face, she wept at the outpouring of love \u2013 before giving the crowd a show of gratitude in return, making a peace sign with her hand alongside eldest child Aimee, 41.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Thousands of metal fans turned out to see off the Godfather of Heavy Metal, who died on July 22 aged 76.<\/p>\n<p>Sharon Osbourne broke down in tears as she viewed tributes and messages for her husband, the legendary heavy metal singer Ozzy Osbourne<\/p>\n<p>She was supported by children Jack, Kelly and Aimee (pictured: Jack and Kelly holding her by the arms as she walks)<\/p>\n<p>There appeared to be a moment where Sharon stumbled as she walked to the tributes \u2013 with Jack and Kelly able to support her<\/p>\n<p>Sharon laid a single flower, as did her children, at the head of the sea of tributes left to Ozzy<\/p>\n<p>Jack and Kelly Osbourne share an embrace as Sharon is comforted by Aimee during the hell-raiser\u2019s final send-off<\/p>\n<p>Ozzy\u2019s funeral cortege stopped at the \u2018Black Sabbath Bridge\u2019 off Birmingham\u2019s Broad Street to view the tributes, watched by thousands<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>He had performed his final show less than three weeks before he died at he and Sharon\u2019s Buckinghamshire estate, surrounded by his family.<\/p>\n<p>The flowers and messages had been left at the \u2018Black Sabbath Bridge\u2019 in Birmingham\u2018s Broad Street.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Ozzy\u2019s funeral cortege made a stop off en route to the rock god\u2019s final farewell to view the tributes \u2013 and give thanks for the support given by fans in recent days.<\/p>\n<p>Louis, Ozzy\u2019s son from his first marriage to Thelma Riley, wore a purple tie with skull-and-crossbones patterns.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The funeral cortege was led along the street by local brass band Bostin\u2019 Brass, which performed versions of Black Sabbath songs.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In front of the van bearing the Osbournes was a Jaguar hearse carrying the singer on his final journey \u2013 adorned with a floral tribute in purple, the rocker\u2019s favourite colour, that simply read: \u2018OZZY\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>The cortege had earlier passed Ozzy\u2019s childhood home in Lodge Road, Aston.
