Princess Charlotte\u00a0made a surprise appearance as she and dad\u00a0Prince William\u00a0had some soccer Sunday fun!<\/p>\n

On Sunday, July 27, the Prince of Wales, 43, and Princess Charlotte, 10, stepped out in Switzerland to attend the final of the UEFA Women\u2019s EURO 2025, which England\u2019s national team is competing in. The outing marked Charlotte\u2019s first overseas soccer game.<\/p>\n

Prince William appeared in his role as patron of the Football Association, English soccer\u2019s governing body. He traveled to the high-stakes match at St. Jakob-Park in Basel in a show of support for England\u2019s women\u2019s soccer squad, which is nicknamed the Lionesses.<\/p>\n

It was confirmed on July 23 that Prince William\u00a0would attend the final, in which England will go for the trophy at the tournament that the team last won in 2022.<\/p>\n

William is a passionate soccer fan and has cheered for the Lionesses\u2019 journey at the Euros this year,\u00a0visiting the squad at St. George\u2019s Park\u00a0before they departed and\u00a0traveling to Switzerland for their match\u00a0against the Netherlands on July 9.<\/p>\n

Prince William appeared at the Euros during his family\u2019s unofficial summer break, as his kids, which also include\u00a0Prince George, 12, and\u00a0Prince Louis, 7, are out of the classroom for summer vacation.<\/p>\n

Prince William and\u00a0Kate Middleton\u00a0scale back their schedules when their children are out of school in order to spend extra time together as a family, and even\u00a0King Charles\u00a0traditionally scales back his schedule between late July and August to relax and recharge before the fall.<\/p>\n
