Her daughter\u2019s harrowing story might have taken place back in 2016, but we think it\u2019s every bit as worth sharing today.<\/p>\n<p>Jackie decided 2016 was the year that her daughter Gabbie \u2013 then 13 \u2013 could get her own cellphone. For Christmas, Gabbie was gifted a LG d500.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne of the reasons we finally gave in and bought her a cell phone is so we can keep in touch with her more with her crazy practice schedule,\u201d Jackie explained<\/p>\n<p>Yet what followed was a nightmare none of them could have possibly expected. Gabbie was using her cellphone in her room one day when Jackie heard her scream.<\/p>\n<div id=\"newsner-401684465\" class=\"newsner-article_inside_content\"><\/div>\n<div id=\"newsner-20dab059abfbeb5f1b4edcaac7bfb351\" class=\"newsner-20dab059abfbeb5f1b4edcaac7bfb351 newsner-amp_article_inside_content\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cShe came running downstairs after it [happened] grabbing her neck,\u201d Jackie recalled. \u201cShe was in so much pain she was screaming hysterically.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s the worst feeling in the world as a mother to watch your child scream in pain and have no idea how to help her.
