Kash Patel wrote an important piece for The Federalist last summer which implicated Nancy Pelosi in knowingly refusing aid from Donald Trump in order to capitalize on the January 6th protest. Patel says that his testimony, which would have vindicated Donald Trump, was blocked. He also attached a video of Pelosi seemingly taking some responsibility for the disorder.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy weren\u2019t the National Guard there to begin with?\u201d Pelosi asks in a fury in a video recorded by her daughter, who just happened to be filming her mother, then-Speaker of the House, on January 6th. \u201cThey clearly didn\u2019t know, and I take responsibility for not having them just prepare for more,\u201d\u2018 Pelosi continued.\u00a0 \u201cOf course, after the footage leaked, Pelosi joined MSNBC to decry the clip as Trump supporters\u2019 \u201crevisionist history,\u2019\u201d Patel said of it.<\/p>\n

In the behind-the-scenes\u00a0video, Pelosi is clearly panicked about what transpired and is afraid of it reflecting back on her. \u201cWe have responsibility\u2026we did not have any accountability for what was going on there, and we should have this is ridiculous. You\u2019re going to ask me in the middle of the thing, but they\u2019ve already breached the inaugural stuff that should we call the Capitol Police? I mean, the National Guard? Why weren\u2019t the national guard there to begin with? They thought that they had sufficient there\u2019s not a question of how they don\u2019t know. They clearly didn\u2019t know, and I take responsibility for not having them. Just prepare for more.<\/p>\n

In a subsequent mop-up effort, Pelosi fled to MSNBC where she tried setting the record straight by playing the usual Trump card. \u201cThe fact is that the President of the United States, the former president and his toddies, do not want to face the facts. They\u2019re trying to do revisionist history on January 6. But we cannot let us be dragged into their again, false impression of what happened that day. They know what happened that day,\u201d she said to one of MSNBC\u2019s resident anti-Trump hosts Nicole Wallace.<\/p>\n
