President Trump\u2019s border czar Tom Homan has accused the FBI of leaking information about upcoming raids targeting illegal immigrants\u2014and threatened to jail those responsible.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe think it\u2019s coming from inside,\u201d he said, speaking to\u00a0Sean Hannity\u00a0on Fox News on Tuesday, referring to leaks to the media about\u00a0recent ICE\u00a0raids in Colorado.<\/p>\n
Homan also blamed the FBI for leaked information about a large,\u00a0upcoming raid in California\u00a0that\u2019s expected to happen before the end of the month, saying, \u201csome of the information we are receiving tends towards the FBI.\u201d<\/p>\n
That raid is reported to be so large that FBI and\u00a0DEA\u00a0officers are being called in to support ICE officers.<\/p>\n
Homan said it was \u201conly a matter of time\u201d before officers were harmed by the leaks, saying it was possible that \u201cbad guys\u201d could be sitting in wait for the officers to show up and ambush them.<\/p>\n
Hannity asked Homan how certain he was that the FBI is involved, who replied, \u201cI talked to the deputy attorney general this week and they\u2019ve opened up a criminal investigation. He thinks the information is coming from [the FBI].\u201d<\/p>\n
Criminal investigations are taking place to try and identify those responsible for leaking information about the raids, he said.<\/p>\n
