He was married to famous country singer Dolly Parton for nearly 60 years.<\/p>\n<p>Just nine years after reaffirming his marriage to the \u20189 to 5\u2019 hitmaker, the 82-year-old d-ied yesterday (March 3) in his birthplace of Nashville, Tennessee.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-13\"><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The entrepreneur\u2019s 79-year-old wife Parton has issued the following statement: \u201cCarl and I spent many wonderful years together. Words can\u2019t do justice to the love we shared for over 60 years. Thank you for your prayers and sympathy.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-1\"><ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-2784012275087167\" data-ad-slot=\"6061028273\" data-ad-format=\"auto\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\" data-adsbygoogle-status=\"done\" data-ad-status=\"unfilled\"><\/p>\n<div id=\"aswift_1_host\"><\/div>\n<p><\/ins><\/div>\n<p>While their family have also asked for \u2018privacy during this difficult time\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Dean is survived by his siblings Sandra and Donnie, and will be laid to rest in a private ceremony with immediate family.<\/p>\n<p>During a chat on the Dumb Blonde podcast last year, the then 78-year-old musician recalled: \u201cHe said, \u2018Look, now I want you to do everything you want to do, and I wish you the best, but don\u2019t ever ask me to go to another one of these damn things because I ain\u2019t going,\u2019 and he never did.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Parton wasn\u2019t surprised by her newlywed husband\u2019s decision at the time, because he was never interested in having the spotlight on him.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-9\">\n<div data-cptid=\"1539520_timelesslife.info_300x250_Carpet\">\n<div id=\"1539520_timelesslife.info_300x250_Carpet\" data-gninstavoid=\"\" data-google-query-id=\"CMvL26Cl9IsDFW-r_QcdJmAu6g\">\n<div id=\"google_ads_iframe_\/424536528,272163899\/1539520_timelesslife.info_300x250_Carpet_0__container__\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cHe loves music, but he\u2019s not the least bit interested in being in it,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd he told me that right up front.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Their marriage had stood the test of time and the couple even renewed their vows in 2016 at their Nashville home.<\/p>\n<p>It sounds like Parton and Dean were complete opposites and not just due to their feelings about fame. \u201cHe\u2019s quiet and I\u2019m loud, and we\u2019re funny\u2026 we have a lot of fun,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-8\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After nearly 60 years together, the former road-paving business owner passed away Carl Dean, a businessman, d-ied.
