Geraldo Rivera Teases Possibly Joining CNN After Leaving Fox News

Former Fox News contributor and co-host Geraldo Rivera said he would be a “good fit” for a permanent position at CNN.

For 22 years, the 80-year-old was a fixture on Fox News, where he often butted heads with the more conservative hosts and commentators. Rivera has made nearly a dozen appearances on rival cable station CNN since leaving that outlet in June. The publication asked Rivera if he might be planning to work more permanently for his former competitor.

While making a joke about how he might benefit from an agent, Rivera clarified that there have been no official talks regarding his potential employment with CNN. No one from CNN has commented on it.

“I think it would be a good fit,” he reportedly texted about the possibility, according to the New York Daily News.

On July’s episode of ABC’s “The View,” the veteran host admitted that he should have quit Fox News sooner but lacked the guts to do so. Rivera said that she had a “toxic” relationship with a coworker at Fox News and that the troubled network went through “a moral crisis” after the 2020 presidential election due to the dissemination of false information that led to various lawsuits.

In July, Rivera interviewed former CNN host Chris Cuomo on NewsNation for his first primetime appearance since departing Fox News. Cuomo remained with Fox News “for the money,” according to Rivera, who mentored him.

The funeral of Jeff Beck reached its most heart‑stopping moment when Jimmy Page, dressed in a somber black suit, slowly approached the coffin carrying one of his most iconic guitars — the very instrument he and Beck once played together in their Yardbirds days — and gently laid it across the polished wood. Witnesses described how Page rested his hand on the guitar for a long, silent moment before whispering, his voice breaking, “You were more than a brother, Jeff — you were the sound of my soul.” Those words shattered the room’s composure: Eric Clapton, seated just a few feet away, buried his face in his hands, openly weeping as other guitar greats like David Gilmour and Ronnie Wood lowered their heads in grief. One mourner later said, “It wasn’t just goodbye — it was Jimmy giving a part of himself back to Jeff.” When Page stepped back, the entire chapel fell into a heavy silence before rising in a tearful ovation, with fans online later calling it “the most powerful farewell in rock history.”
