FAKE CONFESSION: 71-YEAR-OLD MAN CLAIMS HE SHOT CHARLIE KIRK TO “DISTRACT POLICE

A 71-year-old Utah man, George Zinn, falsely confessed to shooting Charlie Kirk in an attempt to “distract from the real killer,” police said. Zinn, a known political gadfly, shouted “I shot him, now shoot me” at officers but was unarmed. He later admitted he lied to create chaos and is now charged with obstruction of justice

 

 

 

 

Authorities confirmed the real suspect, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, was arrested after a manhunt. His father convinced him to surrender, and FBI evidence—including DNA on items found near the crime scene—ties him to the killing. Robinson remains under special watch in jail pending a mental health evaluation
